Like an idiot, I did not use a waterproof pen. Next time.

Walk and Run Animation

Walk and run assignment. Incase you can't tell, and you probably can't, the tall one is a hotel manager, and the small guy thinks he's a detective that will solve mysteries. They are juxtaposed characters, no?

Character Expression Change

This is my Character Expression Change assignment. I wanted to finish my idea, so I had to sacrifice the animation quality, but I guess I'm ok with that. Maybe one day I'll go back and fix it up.

Painting Assignment: Interior Study

A painting of a blanket fort. I used an airbrush for the first time to add a vignette of sorts, and to add spot lighting to the christmas lights. I went back and put white light on top of the airbrush to make them lighter. I had a lot of problems with over saturating things. It was a good learning experience, in the end.

Character Evolution!

So Dailies failed. Duty calls. This is the evolutionary process of one of my character designs for an assignment. Soon I will post the finished project.

Daily Draw 4

Daily Draw 4. I've decided Dailies are ridiculous, and I am possibly going to stop after a week. Or is that too weak of me?

Daily Draw 1

I was challenged to do Dailies... how long will they last? I refuse to do a daily for Sundays though. This is from Saturday. The challenge was "a girl who knows martial arts".

Naddy and Leslie

So Naddya and I drew this picture. She drew herself. I drew myself.

Guess who's got an inkling???

So, for those of you who don't know, an Inkling is a Wacom product that lets you draw on basically whatever you want - sketchbook, napkin, etc. - whilst capturing it digitally. You just plug it in, and it is there on your computer. In handy vector format.
Here is a video of it.

Guess who got one? THIS GUY.
I will try to draw something worth posting with it.

I went to the Ottawa International Animation Festival this past weekend. It was awesome, I met some really cool people, and saw some great films! Sadly, I was working most of the time, so I didn't draw much or see much, but I did get a chance to try out the Wacom Cintiq tablet at the booth across the room. It was like drawing with butter. On a video-fed frying pan.
I tried drawing on this freeware program called Alchemy, who's sole purpose seems to be to try and screw up your drawing. It was really fun though. These are the results.

Pin Up Girl number I forget.

I haven't updated my blog for almost a month... failure. That's what summer does to me. I found this while looking for things on my computer. I drew it a million moons ago. She has Onefootislargerthantheotherone disease. I will try to be more regular with posting.
